Guts Game?

The game that I am looking for is not an amiga game. It's an arcade. I remember years ago playing it with my friends. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name. The game was a scrolling beat em up (like Final fight, Streets of Rage, etc) but instead of bashing up people, you bashed up zombies. Hence, when you punched or kicked these undead, pieces would fly off them.

At the start of the game you drove into the battle scene in a van, squishing many undead under the tyres! In a bonus stage, you had to stomp on zombies who were trying to get out of the ground and attack you. I remember that a female player you could select to use had the power of fire: as a special movie, she could turn into a flaming bird and torch everyone. Another player, a male, had the power of cold: one special move he had was to freeze his opponents.

Can you name this arcade? I would love to play this game on an emu.

By the way, the actual machine me and my friends played didn't have the game name at the top- it just had "Latest game" or something like that. So we affectionately called it the Guts Game, coz it was so gory.:kill

Well, almost two years after I posted that post, I have finally found the game I have been looking for! Guts and all!

The name of the arcade was Night Slashers, by Data East.

Too bad it isn't emulated though...something about it still being needed to be decrypted. That was probably why it was so difficult to find any information on the game.
