The 13 best "launch titles" ever (Gamespot this time)

An interesting article I'm sure EVERYONE on here will agree with

Quote:
Read on as we count down the 13 best games to ever launch alongside a game machine. Why 13? Because there are too many amazing Super Mario games to limit this list to 10, that's why.

It's an interesting article, so take a look!

Hmmm ... Let me see if I understand this correctly.

Tetris for the original Gameboy is the #1 launch title of all time.

Halo for the X-Box is #5.

I can't really judge many of these since I've only owned a few consoles in my time, and only played with a few others, missing out on many of the titles listed.

But Tetris? For the Gameboy? And Halo is at #5? I just want to know what the writer was smoking.

I'm surprised Ridge Racer isn't higher. But, otherwise I agree with the list. I notcie there is no Genesis/MD game listed. I thought Altered Beast was pretty impressive for the time.

I think tetris was a well justified no.1, especially when u consider tens of millions of cart sales.

Also i dont think I know anyone who hasnt played tetris on a gameboy at one time or another, including my grandparents!

I was gonna say exactly the same.

Apart from the bit about your grandparents, I've never met them but I'm sure they are very nice people.

The list is a pretty good one to be honest, and the only ones I don't necessarily agree with are for the systems I never owned, or games I've never played.

I would have liked powerstone to be in there though, that was a superb game.

I'm surprised Halo isn't higher, because Gamespot are Halo worshipping fanboys.
