All elements , graphics, source code , and computer ( Amstrad PC 286 and
NEC PC 9801 ) has send to Ubi-soft , during november 1991.
I'think is better to recreate the game
Nope!

That's the wrong way to go, as the Amiga has its own beautiful gfx chip arsenal, and especially on the good old 1084/1084S graphics are WORLDS APART from any modern PC version. You will never get this warm color feel of a real C= monitor.
With the emulator, you won't either; but you could transfer this image to a real Amiga disk and play on the real thing.
On the PC, you cannot do this.

@Mr Fernandes:
Do you still have this Amiga source code handy in your home or have you given everything to Ubi Soft without keeping a copy for yourself?

He has the source code, as he says in his post, but it's horribly cripple with as many bugs
as Japan has people on its ground. Ask to CFOU!, he tells you.

And to recreate the game both co-author agreement is required as Lightquest is Laurent Cluzel's
creation.

Here is the answer from Laurent Cluzel :

Salut,

Laurent CLUZEL

the traduction in english :

Hello,

concerning the problem of right:
- the authors have a moral right, i.e. that one should not divert and to disfigure our creation.... it is not the case here but our agreement is only of principle in any way because we yielded our commercial laws to UBI SOFTWARE
- the editor has indeed the right to refuse or not such or such use of the name lighquest... maintaining here the use within a commercial framework of the play lightquest not being more on the agenda, there is no objection founded to refuse to place lightquest at the disposal within the framework of a rescue of the inheritance of French ludic creation, correction and provision freeware of a software for a platform which is not present any more on the market return within the legal framework of a fraudulent use of the product)

in short, it does not have no legal reason there to prohibit the update of lightquest on the Amiga microcomputer, quite to the contrary since that is done with an aim posted of saving a part of French inheritance (without counting that this software was never marketed!

Laurent CLUZEL

I think that everything is said here ^^. Thanks Laurent for your advice ^^

Remember , Antheus is created for Amiga / Atari ST / PC VGA , has used the same C code, and spécifique display fonction in assembly language.

Thank you very much Alain for doing so, i'm personally very pleased that
you see our attitude as positive.

Laurent will hopefully accept, like he did for Starush and lightquest.

I have on my hard drive videos of antheus sent to me by Laurent which PCgamesthat weren't have.

We have very talented coders here, and the one who was trying to patch and correct the game would need to understand how the program is done, in order to know how to correct the bugs.

Also, Laurent Cluzel sent me many scans of his artwork for Lightquest, and all
the game design as papers, with the scenario, game indications, screens, etc....

Please contact me as i am french, i'll be pleased to help.

This is great news! Preserving titles (esp. unpublished ones) has great historic value.
