And I never played any version other than the Amiga one. But I was very happy with it, the only thing I didn't like was the occasional crash when plotting the trajectory of a blaster bomb. Very annoying if you spent a lot of time plotting it for maximum tactical effect and then....freeze up. Still a very nice game though.

So SWOS is the winner, not really a surprise (for a change)

I'm surprised UFO got such a high percentage. I never was a big strategist, but I do love some old classics like The Settlers, Colonization and Civilization. Not sure if you could call Pirates! a strategy though, but that's one of my favourites of all time.

Anyway, maybe I should give the game a go. I have both the original AGA and A500 version, which one should I play? Which one has the best playability? I heard the AGA had worse music, but better graphics, but what about the gameplay and speed?

I played the AGA version, you can always whack a CD on where-as you can't look elsewhere to play the game!

Aga ver is also quicker

hmmm, this is a little strange, i thought UFO: Enemy Unknown was out for the Amiga before the PC as it was renamed XCOM:... i could of swore it was developed and released for the amiga (AGA) first (OCS) second and then DOS as XCOM... i could be wrong.... infact i belive i will look up the site...
