OS4 and AmigaOne - An open invitation.

Hi All,

I thought that there may be one or two of you who may, (just may) be interested in seeing what an AmigaOne or OS4 looks like in the flesh.

If you are in the London/Enfield Area tomorrow, then please pop in to our Usergroup meeting, we will have some AmigaOnes and OS4 running for you to try out if you so wish to.

Admittance is free (donations welcome though) Tea, Coffee, Coca Cola, Biscuits, Pringles and yes we have a loo too ;-)

Hours are between 1 & 5pm

full details are available at http://www.amiganorththames.co.uk

Thanks for your time

Mikey C

Thank you, so Do I :-)

In case it's too late notice, the next meeting is scheduled for a month's time which would be 10th of July.

Wish London was located in Stockholm, Sweden
Would love to see OS4 in action, have recently become PPC powered thru a Cyberstorm PPC card and would like to run OS4 on my A4000 some day.

Know of the event but since it's on the other side of the country and I'm very busy this time of year (I'm a boat/outboard engine mechanic) I can't attend

hope it runs away in the north Mikey C, good luck! keeping numbers high up there means we can be more exclusive down here... heh...

btw Mikey C, I visited ya site listed above... is there no membership/forum facilities or this planned eventually?

I'm still waiting for word back on when my A1 will be ready to ship... I'm starting to think I might have to go elsewhere to purchase my complete system...

Nope no plans for a forum on our site, AmigaNorthThames is pretty much geared towards it's members who live in the North London Area. We have a members only mailing list.

Anything else is best served by sites such as Amigaworld.net

Well, if you visit AW, there is a post by Eyetech saying that the boards are complete, but are awaiting delivery of PPC CPU's from IBM. Once the CPU's are in, The boards will ship.

I'm very interested, but sadly I'm in the wrong country as usual. Still, it's nice to see that these kinds of things are still happening, and judging from what I've seen on OS4 so far (only videos, sadly), it looks very cool.

er why not pop into #amigaworld?

There a few norwegians who have MicroA1's there, perhaps one lives not too far from you?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I do keep an eye on both PolarBoing and the AmigaWorld website, though it's been a while since my last visits.
