Exclamation Deluxe Galaga Fans Rejoice

Some of you probably already know of this Deluxe Galaga remake for the PC called Warblade. But here is the link for the rest of you shmup fans. It's made by the same guy who created the Amiga version of Deluxe Galaga. It's brilliant!!

It's great isn't it. I can remember years ago when I got so good at Galaga Deluxe on the Amiga I played it once for 5 1/2 hours straight. I got the maximum cash (500,000) and reset the score about three times. I had to stop in the end because it was about 4:30 in the morning and I was completely wrecked. I could have gone on to infinitum. Those were the days. Unbelievable.....Believe it.

Top 100 Shareware

The title page says
Quote:
That game (Deluxe Galage; Laundro)was voted best shareware game and ranked as #19 on list of 100 best Amiga games of all time
Anyone got an idea of what that list looks like?

Thought I'd check if this game had already been mentioned before starting a new thread, and sure enough it had

According to the author, it is now near completion. Registering now will be cheaper than when it is released if I've understood him correctly. I have today, a bargain at Ģ7 for the silver option.

Please support the man, I think it's a brilliant remake from what I've seen of the various betas, and I'm sure there'll be lots of extra goodies on top of the original Amiga version.

Played loads of Deluxe Galaga AGA on my Amiga this weekend.

I don't see a need for one on the PC (for me personally), but I'll give it a go to compare.

Warblade is great !???? I`d installed it last weekend --- And it is nothing as good as the stompin - brilliant and asskicking AMIGA version.

The worst thing in Warblade is that everything is sooooo fuckin small !!!

u can`t identify any power up. The alien formations are the same as in DG.

DG ROCKZZZZ !!! WB SUCKZZZZ !!!!

What on earth are you talking about?? Perhaps your vision has detoriorated since the 16-bit days? (just kidding)!
Warblade is AWESOME. Every single Deluxe Galaga feature exists in Warblade, therefore you cannot say "I miss this or that feature". In addition, there are DOZENS of new features, and 25 more levels. The Accounts idea is fantastic, the better you do in the long run the more features you unlock. I was playing all evening earlier! I got 162 million points, Level 300, and it took me 4 hours and 22 minutes non stop! During that time, I cancelled a date with my girlfriend, skipped dinner and missed a football match on TV. Eventually I lost on purpose because my eyes were soar. This game is addiction at its best. I know we're all retro maniacs here, but there's nothing wrong with admitting that a new game is better than the old one just because it's a PC version. The price is more than fair and I suggest you all register!

Well said Alkis.

Anyone who hates Warblade is one of those "waaa I hate anything on PC" people, a breed which I thought had died out when most Amiga fans ceased being petty towards the PC platform.

It's a fabulous port, and every credit goes to Edgar Vigdal who has been working hard on it for 24+ months.

I've even started playing it in the office before the Xmas hols

It is a good game but the demo was far too easy.

Need the full game but that'll have to wait until I have some spare cash after Xmas

Please don`t kick me, but WB didn`t kick me. I don`t know what it is. The game has not the flair as DG. It don`t touches me.
Maybe someone knows what i mean .?.

Mhhhhh ??? Maybe i would like a GBA release of Warblade ?.?
