Picking up an old thread here but since I've almost have a kick ass dosbox now (just waiting for my Roland cards to arrive) my question is how do I use the Univbe package (Sc. Display Doctor), I've installed it and it created an "univbe" folder but I'm unsure how to "call" the program

In a Batchfile:

Quote:
uvconfig.exe
univbe.exe
Gamexy.exe

Yes, you can add it to the autoextec.bat too, but as the last parameter.

Maybe like this:

Quote:
.
.
.
c:\univbe\uvconfig.exe
c:\univbe\univbe.exe

Should work for work a lot of games, but maybe not for all.

What do you need uvconfig for? Isn't univbe.exe enough?

Back in the brief dos stint I had, i didn't use univbe unless the software in question required it.. Most did not, as I had a properly VESA compatible graphics board..

Ahh...ok, thx

I better load it with the "LH" parameter so my precious 640k base RAM won't go away

Have some games that doesn't respond to change in screen modes to 640x480 or 800x600 VESA modes...for example Blood and Wipeout
