Bitrot

i was just looking over my large collection of original software when suddenly the thought of BITROT popped into my head...

HOW CAN I SAVE MY PRECIOUS TREASURE????

there is no way other than dumping is there.

i should get all my originals dumped and stored on my pc right?

Originals: CAPSify them and get them preserved. Use WHDLoad to install thm and use them.

Copies: ADF'em and get them preserved. That is, if there's anything you have that it's NOT in TOSEC.

For other platforms: Do whatever is similar to the Amiga counterparts, shame is, in most formats, there's nothing like CPS. What bout C64 software for example? That should die sooner than Amiga software, don't you think? And no one has come up with a CAPS-liek solution for this

is there a link with more info about this CAPsifying i dont know what it is.

google turned up the Centre for Aids Prevention
