Street rod
Has this game ever been released on whdload? I've seen it on tomtoms website which you can't download from anymore, but no where else.

Tomtom doesn't even slightly dent the WHDLoad games collection!
There are literally hundreds around if you know where to look ![]() Though I'm sure Street Rod isn't 1 of em! Check the www.whdload.de to be certain! Last edited by Paul; 13 January 2005 at 19:18. Reason: fixed link |

The game isn't on the whdload page. But there are whdload installers around that are not on the whdload website. Someone must have the streetrod whdload somewhere.

One example is one that I downloaded from http://amiga.magix.name/ which is the it came from the desert 2 its the full whdload game, but someone must have had the installer to install it in the first place. Been looking for it for ages and its not for download on whdload. Streetrod is another this exists on tomtoms website though I've not seen it anywhere else. Moonstone is another example this isn't on the whdload website. Theres a few others but can't think of them off the top of my head.

There are a lot of resources around for WHDLoad slaves that only support cracked versions of software. Hence why Street Rod is available other than the official source of WHDLOAD.DE.
Suffice to say, if its not on WHDLOAD.DE then it most definately doesn't support the original, otherwise what other reason for the author of the slave to not upload it? I suspect because of the rarity of the Street Rod original, whoever does support it officially in WHDLoad, might well support the cracked version simply to ensure that all their hard work isn't wasted.

I remeber playing street rod 2 on my A1200 from HD. It did need something like runshit IIRC. Perhaps this works with the first part aswell and a whd version is not needed.

Street Rod 2 is not A1200 compatible,is it?The game is freezed at the intro beginning. I have managed to work Street Rod 1 installed but with graphics failures in the races even deactivating AGA chip in early boot screen. Anybody has the WHDLoad install for both games? |

I would love some WHDLoad installers for Street Rod and Street Rod 2. I have the first game installed on my A1200, if you run it in AGA it's shit, if you run it in ECS it still has bugs, but I think in OCS mode it's fine.

i believe there is a 'generic slave' whdload install doing the rounds somewhere, for both of them.
KG may be the man to ask.

Hmm, it seems like the two slaves posted in the zone won't work with the latest version of WHDLoad. A shame really.

You haven't *ahem* borrowed a WHDLoad license key have you?
Don't take offence, just an idea.Does the slave quit with an error message? |

No, I paid for my license. Turns out that I am using version 16.8.4367, which I thought was the latest, but I'll try with the 16.9 beta. Thanks for the heads up!
The error message provided was was: "The data/disk-files are damaged or it is an unsupported version." EDIT: Doesn't work with WHDLoad 16.9.4512 either. So, I guess there could actually be something to that error message . Would somebody who has a known working version of Street Rod please upload it again?Last edited by boomlinde; 26 August 2008 at 21:23. |

I know I know.. late reply.
![]() Anyway, I just installed ClassicWB on a "new" PC and WHDLoad 16.9 beta (Sept. 7). The Street Rod games I zoned works just fine. Did you click on the icons to start the games or was it from command line ? Remember these are using generic slaves and you must use CUSTOM1=2 (2 disk game) tool type to make it work. Like this: WHDLOAD SLAVE=1m512k.slave CUSTOM1=2 PRELOAD
