what is kickstart v.13 rev34.5 256k?

Hi
I want to emulate the A500 on my PC. I am a complete novice and haven'T A CLUE HOW TO DO IT. Ihave downloaded the latest win uae but it is saying i need kickstart v.13 rev34.5 256k. What is this and where can i get it?

excuse my ignorance, but i only want to play f/a18 interceptor!!!

V1.3, and is copyright to Amiga inc. (I think).

The only place you can *LEGALLY* obtain the kickstart (512k) is with a copy of Cloanto's "Amiga Forever" Package. Cloanto include the kickstart licence fee in the purchase price.

Everything below 2.0 is 256k. If your files are 512k you have the same data twice in them.

is it illegal to pay someone to dump the ROM for you? (i'm not offering BTW)

It is illegal to pay someone to dump their rom for you, but it is legal to pay someone to dump yours for you. Of course I'm guessing that won't be of much help to the original poster.

It is also legal to buy a physical Kickstart ROM from someone, and for them to include a dumped copy of it on a floppy, as long as they don't keep any copies.

Of course, this is all academic, since there is no way to tell a legal from an illegal ROM, they're all byte-identical anyway.

I think TFX may be better, not that I have tried it yet.
