ADF Bootblock installer

I don't know whether this is the right section for this, I couldn't see where else this would be appropriate. I have collected 414 different bootblocks (virus, demo and utility) over the 7 or so years I have owned an Amiga.

I have begun to write a program that can read / write ADF bootblocks and was wondering whether there was an interest in a program like this.

Obviously I would exclude the viruses bootblocks from the program before distributing it.

This is my first programming project and it will more than likely be full of bugs and so on

I would appreciate any thoughts on this matter

Thank you

Good project.. thats how I started.. what language are you using?

If it Delphi (v6) then you are in luck as Ive attached all my code for various ADF projects I worked on. I havent looked at any of it for quite a while but my intention from the outset was to code everything in such a way to make it understandable by other people..

Even if you dont know delphi its quite easy to read what my code is doing as Ive put quite a lot of comments in there...

At the moment I'm using Visual Basic 6 (Not very exciting, I know), I haven't tried Delphi before.

Attached I have my bootblock list to this message - I haven't taken out the viruses yet, there may be some bootblocks still copyrighted by their authours

If you recognise any bootblocks still retaining copyright or distribution rules please tell me

I am going to try to release 'alpha' build of it at some point, as I have said : This is my first programming project and I may hit some 'brick walls' which with my present experience, I may not be able to overcome (Which may partly due to my language of choice).

Please forgive me if I seem to be waffling

Thank you for your reply

Wanna put those bootblocks on the net somewhere?... thought of trying out a few of those

Errrh.. seems like ADFOpus doesn't work with W2K/XP-environments.. complains about missing stdboot3.bbk, when it is sitting nicely in the folder where it is supposed to..

Anyone know any other program to fiddle around with .adf images?

Especially with a capability to "inject" stuff like a bootblock into it...

I hereby hog these sourcecodes since I'm working with kinda the same thing with WinAmInfo. With your source I might be able to pick out an info file from the adf and use it in WinAmInfo, if you don't mind o'course.
