On a football related note you should all go see 'Shaolin Soccer' Its coming out soon in the UK cinema's.

I saw it in Canada at my mates house (Divx version )

Normally I hate football full stop but this film really made me laugh out loud.

heres a link: http://miramax.com/shaolin_soccer/

I notice in the KO Gathering forums you state that the game WILL NOT be freeware.

Have you been in touch with the original KO author Dino Dini, and more importantly Stuart Campbell ( ) regarding their position on this ?

OK, but just don't mention anything about where you got the inspiration for top-down views, aftertouch or anything from otherwise your dreams could turn to nightmares....

Stainy: Why don't you ever contact me by PM since you have so much problems with me. As it is you are a coward that always attack me like this, everytime you post. get a life.

Sorry about the blurry thing but is a general thing I tend to see, I calol it the "N64 syndrome".
The game looks interesting and I hope you dont get in trouble with dini or anyone else.

By the way, why do you have the file inside the ZIP as an EXE? It's no good for mac users or others.

doh! you are right!
I did it because WinRar rocks but it's not retrocompatible...so i had to create a selfextractor and zip it because my email filter doesn't send .exe files

I'm bored of the usual 3D soccer games around for the past several years - they all play the same. How they manage to push a FIFA game every year is astounding - apart from name updates it's very much "same old" generic 3D soccer.

This project looks refreshing - 2D style gameplay using a 3D engine. If it plays how I'd imagine then this could be great! Some people forget how enjoyable 2D style gameplay with easy intuitive controls can be.

Have you tried the Pro Evolution series? IMO they are the best football games you can play and that includes KO and Sensi.

The best football game in my humble opinion would be a 2 monitor/TV game.

On one screen have a Sensible Soccer style game, this would be the screen the players use.

On the other screen have FIFA Style graphics representing what the people in the game are doing, this would be for watching replays or for people viewing the game.

Just downloaded it now and had a quick go. I canít review it properly yet as I donít have a joystick handy that will do the game justice.

First impressions howeverÖ

Öis itís absolutely superb! This is up there among the best remakes ever for a modern PC! It feels so much like the original and the graphics work perfect. Booted it up and no problems (WinME, AthlonXP, Radeon 8500) Ė no bloat at 11MB and the graphics at the default setting of 640x480 are great. Havenít tried higher resolutions yet.

I might have to get a joystick working on the PC just for this. Brilliant work. The potential for this is huge.

Only thing that is annoying is the packer warning and cycling through the credits on boot, however I can understand why you did this on a beta as no one ever reads the credits.

Like I said, canít comment on playability yet until I get a joystick. Keyboard just wonít cut it. I'm sure it'll end up being spot on however since you are a world champ.

Canít believe youíve more or less done this yourself. Give yourself a huge pat on the back.

thank you very much for your kind words
To skip the credits press right mouse button.
You can find some cheap amiga joystick on ebay and buy an amiga adaptor at about 10 euro.

Throw In v0.06 is out!

I remember that an old style joystick is required to play this game!
