That map is not level 2 at all! It's world 1-1!

And now HOL has 2 maps (both completely different sizes) of the same level. If you are going to make a map like this it would be better to position your character against the background colour and erase it so you don't appear all through the map. And use native resolution - 320 pixels wide now doubled in WinUAE. My 2c.

I have redone it, both are now the same size.

I did try to position the character on background, but it is difficult to avoid getting killed!

and yes it is world 1-1, but technically it's level 2 (Its the second level you play!!)

World 2-1 is Level 5 to me!!

I might redo both levels at 320 pixels wide!

Sorry but I don't know what you're sniffing - the screenshot you attached is is level 1, the very first one you play. The second level has no castle type thing at the bottom.

Good idea, everything in HOL should be at the native Amiga resolution.

I played this game for the first time to see if it was really level 1 and I hate myself for missing this for that many years!

It's level 1 BTW.

Rename it to "Bippy's Pain Island"

That thumbnails look awful RCK. Conversion and disk shots too. Looks like the images aren't suitable for jpeg compression! Actually it's never a great idea to save low color, sharp amiga screenshots with jpeg.

Does anyone think I should remove the fruit from the images?

Would that make them look even better

Eek

Arrgh-the nightmares, collecting all those flipping gems to make up the full set before you reached the end of the level,it's all coming back!
Great game, but it was difficult enough even with a trained copy! Doh island always came as a slight relief to switch off that main tune though!

Even more difficult was collecting the gems in the correct order (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) to get to the bonus room

If memory serves I was silly enough to try that bit of inspired madness-after numerous attempts I finally managed it only to die with the bonus room doors in sight....the Amiga almost set a new discus record that night!
