Back To The Future III (not CLASSIC)

hi,

is there a different crack of BTTF III around except the CLASSIC crack which is utterly hacked to bits?

No intro, the game starts immediately. Reminds me of some bad C64 cracks like some Mandroid versions.

JST+WHD fix

i've upload the JST+WHD fix by Abaddon. It's the Imageworks version. There's another version from Konami.

Thanks much, I'll take a look at your disk asap.

Well I didn't know there were TWO versions from two different publishers -- sounds interesting.

So if somebody else has another DISK image of either the Imageworks or the Konami version which is not cracked by CLASSIC, I'd appreciate that too. :-)

thanks in advance

No, no, no, no, no. There's not two different games. There is one. This really makes no sense, but I may have an explanation.

I have an original of this game and it has the Konami logo and the Image Works logo plastered on everything from the cover to the manual to the disks. Konami is the US publisher of the game. The European copies only have Image Works on them. Image Works is a sub label from Mirrorsoft from Europe. The 'image Works version' is PAL and the 'Konami version' is NTSC. No idea if there are differences other than screensize or timing, only that they are not two different games from different publishers.

I made a HD version of BTTF3 about 2 years ago and it's on my Amiga, but I can't remember is there's a difference. I will try to check.

Thanks for the infos, Twist.
hmm ... you don't happen to have it on disk anymore?

BTW: I've tested Frog's version this night. I was right in fact. CLASSIC had cut away everything that was in their way. OR it was a preview/beta they had cracked.

As far as i remember, no difference between them, except of course Konami or Imageworks screen.

Well, Twist, if you happen to change your mind, don't hesitate to transfer it. I prefer disk versions to JST/WHD stuff (unlike someone else I don't mention now ) because I like this ready-to-use stuff so much.

JST/WHD are what you called :"Ready-to-use" at least on real amiga.
When i see all problems - on this board - to set a working configs under UAE/Fellow for some games, i also hope JST/WHD could make your life easier

Now Frog, that's not quite true. Ready-to-use means "ready-to-use" in BOTH ways. Two pointers:

1. if there's a config working in any of the WinUAE versions, be sure I'll find it!

2. unlike JST/WHD stuff, 'disk' versions are "ready-to-use" in BOTH ways: on the emulator AND on the real Amiga. What the hell should one do with a JST/WHD version on his stock A500 (1 MB RAM, no HD, no 2nd drive)?

That's what I meant, nonetheless, I appreciate your version, so don't get the blues now

@Twist
Thanks. Ah, you don't have a crack of BTTF III? I see.
Maybe Cody has.

sorry if you felt offense with my question about "ready-to-use"...

you're right, a part of the truth...

if i can only say 1 point, i guess and hope most amiga user own at least an A1200, so ask them if they can run all those all old 'disk' games... I guess more than 50% will failed.
Personally, i've not feed my drive with a game since age ! JST/WHD rulez

So we're right, that's cool... life is beautiful

Sorry, Andreas...somehow I missed the part about you looking for a different crack. I mean, I read it, but didn't know you were still looking after the JST-WHD versions were posted.

At any rate, I do have a different crack. It's by Quartex and their cracktro calls it "Back To The Future 3 Complete" and is of the Image Works version. I am posting it now.

Oh yeah...the filenames look like TOSEC, but it's not. I just made it look that way.

Can you post the butchered Classic version?
