I think this "In this year......" introduction is a good idea as it helps to jog memories. However, how about a more world-view of events in your next poll to reflect the make-up of the board and that big events do happen outside the USA from time to time?

I'll dip a little deeper next time. But for now:

30 June Glasnost introduced in USSR and 19 October World stockmarket crash. Also at in that year 10,000 hosts on the Internet.

we have made it over the 50 voters mark now. I might try and find the chritmas number one for 87 later.

Why is Test Drive second?

I remember when that first came out and it was crap back then. The only reason why people bought it was becsue it was the first driving game of that type on the Amiga (I think - correct me if I'm wrong). Starglider was better, Impact was better... most of them were better. Oh well we're all entitled to our own opinion and it would be a sad world if we all liked the same games.

Late vote!

I went for Arkanoid too, the only game in the list that I have played and consider to be a GOOD game.

The show over, Arkanoid joins Defender of the Crown. now all I have to do is try and sort out 1988. I think 1988 might take a few weeks to sort out, but you never know, it might be worth the wait
