I'm currently checking the disks in my non tosec directory. I could name some of them but there are still 2627 disks that I know nothing about!

I found a few titles that you are looking for. I'm going to upload these right now:

Bridge Player 2000, With Tutor

Dylan Dog 16 (didn't encounter the number "16" in game, but the crackers claim that it is)

Super Grand Prix (a codemasters game, might be the grand prix you are looking for)

Head Coach V3.1

Operation Jupiter

Ten-Gai The Astral Trip

Wetten Dass (same thing with Wetten Daß as ß=ss)

Tosec 0.20 doesn't recognize it but all details are correct. I think that's the same adf or an alternative.

@Burseg

Cody is off line for a couple of days, so I'll cover for him...

Operation Jupiter was found a couple of months ago (I guess Cody forgot to remove it from the list) and the Super Grand Prix is not the game in the MIA list, but the other titles seem correct! Thanx a lot!

Edit: I can't download Wetten Daß, I guess it's the German character that causes the problem. Could you rename it and reupload it please?

No, but a NON-TOSEC version!
Anyway, I've just compared the two versions - they're ALMOST identical! So both of the disks or only one of them seem to have some highscore saved on 'em ... most likely! But it could also be that Burseg's version is without disk error(s), whilst the other disk is faulty.

@Retroman: CORRECT, the Ten Gai disk in the zone *is* the Skid Row crack uploaded in the zone some months before!

Methinks CodyJ needs to update his MIA list so we don't have any heroic wild goose hunts. I have the original of Buffalo Bill's Rodeo Games and it is in fact the same as Wild West Show.

Ten Gai was the game I found on the same CD ("Enigma 4") that contained Mayhem.

I expect to get a few more MIA titles in about two months. But I am really hoping that as the CAPS project picks up, the only MIA games left will be vaporware. Then we can all meet for an EAB "Complete Amiga" party!

Well, this is bizarre. Cody has added such a vast amount of stuff to his MIA list, but crossed out Dylan Dog 09 from the list! Despite the fact that a non-faulty version of the game hasn't been found yet! So this is still a MIA game, just FYI...

Yes, this MIA is hopelessly out of date. An audit is certainly due, as many of those were uploaded over the past several months. For a more pleasant MIA, visit the far tidier Twistin' Ghost's MIA Listing.

I just dumped my original of Global Commader from Datasoft and put it in the Zone. It appears to work OK, but you never know with copy protection. The game looks familiar, like same game different name.

I have an original of that game and I believe it states somewhere (in the manual?) that the game is not copy-protected. Will check it out when I get home.

It's rare, btw.

Arrow Steve McQueen's WestPhaser

This is another that should be off Cody's list - this game quite clearly states in AP11 (or 10?) on page 83 that the only reference to Steve McQueen is on the box - not even in game anywhere. It is in fact the 1989 game "West Phaser" so trying to find "Steve McQueen's WestPhaser" will be impossible!

Exclamation Don't forget Cavitas

Quote:
I thought you might all like to see some pictures of Cavitas, the forgotten Amiga game!

[...]
Unfortunately, the only copy that I ever found was an ADF of the original disk, which didn't work. [..]
I then bought an original, which turned out to be just one disk. Now Codetapper has the MFM dump of the original, so hopefully we can expect a WHDLoad install in the future. I'll also dump it for CAPS.
Just wanted to mention that Cavitas isn't even classified WIP on WHDLoad site yet!

These are in the Zone:

Bridge Player 2000 With Tutor (1989)(CP Software)[cr BS1].dms
Head Coach v3.0 (1992)(Midnight Oil)[cr Paramount].dms

There were once in the Zone but they are still on your list:

PTC (Rainbow Arts=1987) (??)
Ten-Gai: The Astral Trip (in latest TOSEC dats)
Terrorpods (Psygnosis) --ADFs, not the HD install

Yeah, I don't recall that one being upped before unless it was on a compact and I am holding out for the new Compilation dat that lists the contents.

Don't have PTC, either, otherwise I would've helped out. I can't believe this was on the Zone before.
It's really mega-rare. Not even BTTR has it listed.
So thanks Cody for bringing this up again too!

Yeah, at the moment, DP is the king of the compacts knowledge. Where would we be without him.

If I were the king I'd set aside two weeks and completely redo the TOSEC Amiga compacts, but I don't think anyone can agree on just what is the best way to do it. Otherwise, there are at least 150 compacts to be added that I know about.

Compacts were always my favorite. More bang for the buck, back when disks cost so much more. And they almost always had weird little games on them that were not otherwise available.

Let me know if that PTC I uploaded is the right one. It almost looks like a PD game.

Yes, it does have that weird PD obscurity thing going on. It's a quite playable affair, though. I am looking into it to see if it's the one we are looking for and will report any findings in the MIA thread.

An emphatic nope. The English version of ECS Ambermoon wasnt available for years until I asked the authors to check their disk boxes in the attic and send me what they could find.

Just out of interest what made you think that it DID exist?

Cheers

The Amiga Power review of Ambermoon (in issue 51, page 52) reviewed it as an A1200-only game.

I was pretty positive that there was no AGA version, but I had it in the MIA list just in case. It's probably an error.

Oops! Sorry about the sluggish response time, Twist; work has kept me off the EAB for long periods this week, and I only saw your post today. I will slap myself for being a slacker.

The bad news: no upload yet!

Disk 2 has been ADFed OK, but I'm having real trouble sorting out Disk 1. See my annoyance -

I have tried the following ADF creation tools, to no avail: TransADF, adfblitzer, TrackSaver, TrackTool (Custom ADF option on + off).

The resulting ADF refuses to work. I think the time has come to seek assistance.

P.S. I can upload Disk 2, though.

Ambermoon

I thought Ambermoon was one of those games that is enhanced if it is run on a 1200. I've never tried it though.

Track 1 has a Rob Northen copylock on it which needs to be cracked to allow the game to run properly. The key is probably the same as the original version so upload it if you like and I'll remove the protection.

Use RawDIC, comes with the WHDLoad package! that way you will properly save the copyprotected data

I got another confirmation of this assertion from the German GAEB forum where somebody else mentioned that the game lacks a lot of his beauty if you play it on a stock OCS KS 1.3 A500!

DIC and MFMWarp up the copy protected track. Read these imaging instructions from the WHDLoad site.

OK. Main part of disk has been imaged with DIC, Zipped and uploaded. Shame I only read Akira's post before uploading, as I missed your MFMWarp post.

Track 1 has subsequently been MFMWarped. I will upload it separately, unless a Mod wants to remove the original upload, so I can include both parts in one Zip. Bit of a balls-up...

Include ADF of Disk 2 in archive, too? Or DIC image?
