If your CD32 has Fast memory or a 68030, the games will be optimised for a faster loading.

If your using WinUAE, add 2MB Fast memory to speed up the games.

I have made this CD (522MB) availabe for free together with Bips 200 CD32 game collection and Synchro Amiga Tribute CD v1.0 and v1.1. Currently I have pretty much heavy traffic all day so thats why im searching for people who have FTP's running that can make the CD availabe for download like me. Just let me know and I'll upload it myself

FTP ADDRESS:
IP: animepowers.myftp.org
Name: CD32
Pass: CD32

21 questions..

Firstly, if this a commercial, or home made CD?

Secondly, do you know if it will run under a CD32 emulator on an actual Amiga?

Okay fair enough. First of it's not a commercial CD but fanmade.
Tony has let me know it works on both CD32 and WinUAE. I have currently only tested it on WinUAE but so fare everything looks to run just fine and I trust Tony's word that it works on real CD32, so for once I didn't test both things which I usually do with important CDs.

Ok, but do you know if it runs on a CD32 emulator on an actual Amiga?

It was supposed to say 2 questions btw, but the layout pad has moved under my keyboard so when I press 2 I get 21.

For a moment I tought I was going to be under somekind of interrogation

Ah emulation under real amiga... a bit unusual question, your testing some secret project? tell tell! I got no idea I never tied such things but I'll mention it to tony tomorrow.

My Squirrel SCSI card came with 3 disks of software to play with, and one of them was a CD32 emulator, which basically sets some flags, and softkicks a CD32 ROM, thus allowing your machine to be a virtual CD32 (minus the FMV chip).

You can also get it off Aminet.

Yup that's the way us A1200 owners run CD32 software, by lameulation. There's no other choice, unless the games are WHDified.

Its not really emulation as it is the same hardware, you are only changing the kickstart. Which would mean that if you are running KS3.0 and softkick to 3.1 then you are emulating the machine, which isn't how it would be refered.

I think of emulation as inpersonating other hardware, and neither WHDLoad or CD32 rekickers do that, so I don't class either as emulators.

Miami Chase is made by the freelance group team7 that was run by rico holmes and stefan boberg before they created team17... Derfore the game is not related to this CD as the CD is a tribute to Team 17 games only, sorry

Basically Team7 and Team 17 are the same. They have changed their name to Team 17 after they came together with 17-Bit Software. (or vice versa, however you want...)

Besides, load Full Contact. It shows Team7 as well.

Miami Chase was their first game. The CD would not be complete without it.

Full Contact was indeed made by Team 7 but it was published by Team 17 after which Miami Chase wasn't.

Just giving you the facts and Tony wont include Miami Chase as he said to me when I asked him about it... reasons I already outlined.

Apparently because of some weird reasons worms doesn' t like too many files on the CD. It might be the cache in the CD32 that parse all the file so the more files on the cd the less memory present. The same problem was found with the stardust, alien breed 3D, F17, arcade pool so thats why he used 2Mb whdload versions for them.

Speris Legacy

If you are giving this CD away fine... if you are selling it, then I have a BIG problem with it.

The developers of Speris Legacy didn't make hardly any money on this game, and I would have issue with you distributing it.

Thanks a lot! It just seems kinda disheartening for someone to aim their FTP only at l33t people who own actual CDTVs/CD³²s. I never got the chance to buy one originally, and as for uploads I'm pretty sure he has practically every common release that's come on elsewhere! I doubt he'd want the same games uploaded all the time. I'm really keen on the über-rare stuff he's exclusively storing there!

This kinda reminds me of another guy's FTP from yonks ago which only allowed people to download Amiga stuff off there if they uploaded images of ultra-rare CD products.
