That would be as calling my Amiga 1200 an A1200HD, because IT HAS AN HD IN IT. The HD stands for HARD DRIVE!

Actually I have an A1200HD/50!!! the 50 stands for 50MHZ!!!!

Yes I'll write this on its badge with a permanent marker.

Actually realistically it would be called an A1230T, but nevermind. The official naming scheme went out the Window years ago and this at least gives people some idea of what the machine is.
The zorro busboards on the A1200 are problematic at best though.

Good one, but I was following the A3000/A4000 standards, where they put A4000/Speed or something like that.

I've never had any problems with my ZIV busboard (except the fact that its mounting holes don't quite line up with those in the Power Tower). It's allowed me to fit a CV64/3D, an X-Surf and a Multiface 3, but these days I'd recommend getting a Mediator instead. The Zorro-II bus is just too slow.

Not sure who had the problems with it though as I am just repeating what I have read at a few places.

Thats one of the main reasons I am getting an A4000. The mediator you can get for it has 5 PCI slots, 6 Zorro III slots and a video slots. Best of both worlds.
