Memorial For Mr. Larmer / Czeslaw Maron

The WHDLoad team page now contains a memorial to Mr. Larmer AKA Czeslaw Maron, a prolific WHDLoad patcher who died in a car crash two years ago.

In rememberance: Mr Larmer was one of the first people who contributed to the WHDLoad project with installs, comments and enhancements. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Amiga and installed over 100 games! His superb copylock decoder is still used to decrypt games and he always had time to verify that a game had been cracked properly. The last 6 months of his life were surrounded in mystery with some low-lives making threats against him. Czeslaw died in a car crash on the 7th of September, 2001. The entire WHDLoad team were honoured to have known you and will continue to update your patches to keep your memory alive. RIP Czeslaw.

Oh. I didn't know this... How sad. Yes, Mr Larmer created many quality patches indeed.

I too didn't know this

It is extremely sad when we lose such a great talent, and at such a young life

Mr Larmer and his patches will be sadly missed, my thoughts are with his family.

The Amiga lost a legend in 2001, may he rest in peace

I was searching for some work Mr.Larmer did for the Thalion webshrine today and remembering his memory. He did lots of great WHDload installers. It's almost 12 years since he passed and people are still using his work.
