I'd have always hated having an Amstrad or a Spectrum...

...what with the C64 getting all the best games!

I mean, Mario Kart Double Dash, for one...

Grand Theft Auto 3 sold them 8-bit machines like there was no tomorrow. Evidently, there wasn't...

Of course, Pro Evolution Soccer 3 was the king of 8-bit footy games...

ConGo? I hope you're not not telling me there's a program around that does this anyway? That's put a bit of a crimp of the the whole thing since I did all these in Paint Shop Pro. Quite painstaking, I can tell ya. Original 16 C64 colours as well :/

*Does a Google search for ConGo*

The C-64 is in the middle of the pack when it comes to graphics amoung the 8 bit giants. The worst graphics goes to the Apple ][e and the Atari 8 bits (all consoles and computers).
Then the C-64. Ahead of the C-4 is the NES, and on top is the gorgeous colours and resolutions of the Amstrad.

I always think that the C64 is one of the most 'distinctive' though...

...but look how Mortal Kombat turned out

Just seeing that I'm tempted to attempt a Mortal Kombat remake on the PC using the C64s 16-colours, just to show how it might have looked had the C64 been able to do it...

I imagine it couldn't though. I mean look at Street Fighter 2...

Pah! You C64 gfx basher! Why not try some of the Rowlands brothers,(Of C64 Creatures 1 & 2,Retrograde amongst others) infamous non-standard C64 colours!

Lets see the Speccy "hi-res" monochrome gfx in all their glory,eh?

looney amstrad & speccy lovers!
