I think I've mentioned that it was 2 different games the 5 and 6 disc versions in practically every thread where Hugo was discussed. What surprises me is that they've got 2 games listed but apparently didn't know where to pull the 2nd one from.

The PC version of the game supported HD installation and if it was installed you could mix your game the way you liked (chose either of the level 1's and either of the level 2's. Level 3 is the same for both games). Does the amiga version support installation in this manner as well?

The game was initially on a danish tv show where they mixed the levels randomly. People calling in could play the game but they wouldn't know which combination they'd end up playing. I guess that they thought including all the levels from the TV show in one package would be too much and opted to release it over 2 releases.

To anyone that knows:-

Are the names Hugo - På Nye Eventyr & Hugo - På Nye Eventyr Del 2 (as per HOL) correct for the 2 games ? The 2 title screen's show the same title, but was there anything distinguishing on the packaging etc to show which one you got in the box ?

There were I should think something to distinguish the packaging just like the background color on the title screen I'm guessing the screenshots on back would be different too.

It is possible that they named it Del 2 (for part 2) honestly can't remember.

Is it possible these were a pre-release?

Reason I ask is Hugo seems to be both these versions rolled into 1 game and sold in Germany!!

No in Denmark it was released as 2 diff games. But the international version might have been 1 game with all 4 levels

Seems quite probable. That was the way it was initially designed to be. It was made for the TV show Eleva2eren (the elevator). The old Hugo was getting old and he only got there because of Oswald and Super Oswald were just too old.
