CAPS Site update - Amiga port + new IPFs

You can now get the Amiga port of the CAPS library from the download page. Please note: Amiga apps need to support it, but don't bug the authors!

It has all the features of the Win32 version, but there are various enhancements that are planned for it that are not possible with the Win32 one (like mounting IPF images as a device). For this reason we have designated it "beta". Documentation will also follow soon. Amiga programmers interested in adding support, just ask if you get stuck.

The Win32 version has also been updated, details in the next WIP.

Finally, to celebrate the Amiga version, lets bring on a few more IPFs. Like last time, contributors will be mailed over the next few days, so if you have not received a mail yet, you should do so by the weekend. If not, please let us know.

AFAIK, IFW is going through the images roughly in the order submitted. This is only fair IMHO because it means people who submitted their dumps over a year ago finally get their images.

You'll get your missing ones eventually.

BTW- yes, I am doing some of the emails now. Please wait and I will see if I brought yours with me.

You should really stop using the word "few" for a number of 400...

Anyway, nice update!

I quite liked the understatement. It bestows an air of non-sensational news reporting.

There're some double listed items e.g. Pirates. What's the difference between them ?

The version number. One is v832.02, the other is v832.04.

BTW, on your homepage:
when clicking the "Back" button of the game list, it returns always to the first page not to the previous... is this a feature ?

Possible differences are:
version/revision: feel free to ask the original authors about the differences
territory
game language
chipset/machine type

You can select those info fields by ticking the right box and pressing submit

As for Pirates, it is the revision.

Ohh... Well spotted. That is nothing short of a bug. Well - it used to work.

Thanks, we'll fix it soon.

UPDATE: Fixed

I should expect an email with links to 400 games then, because I've just checked the list and I dumped all of them for you.

If you don't have them anymore it's because you must have lost them or something

Happy

Excellent!

Also got my e-mail today.

I'm just wondering if you're list is correct on your website. Look at release numbers 443 and 466. Maybe a language difference. Maybe one of them should be a German flag or something.

Awesome rate of releases though.
Great stuff!
