Floppy disk Dodgy Rocks released!

DODGY ROCKS released for Amiga Classic (OCS/ECS 1Mb)

Dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge and ... uh ... dodge!

Crazy high-speed endless arcade thing-dodging. You'll just have to have one more try!

Dodge the rocks and other projectiles coming your way for as long as possible. Dodge, dash, kick and smash your way out of tight spots to survive just one more wave. Discover and master advanced moves to rack up your bonus and climb the online leaderboards, before testing yourself against the next difficulty level. Are you ready for NIGHTMARE? We don't think you are.

After a smash-hit debut at Amiga Ireland 2020, and exactly one year after the modern versions, Dodgy Rocks Amiga is now available for immediate download.

All the Dodgy Rocks features and special moves you love and love to hate have made it across. It's the same game, only on Amiga! Check out this [ Show youtube player ] to see it in action.

Thanks to EAB/Daedalus for the great work on the Amiga version

Download Dodgy Rocks now from Aminet or itch.io - FREE.

EAB members using the above itch.io link can get the PC/Mac/Linux version for 50% off iOS and Android versions are also available as free downloads (with one-time IAP upgrade to unlock all features) from the relevant app stores.

Dodgy Rocks. How dodgy can you get?

"A compellingly addictive slice of fun"

"got that just-a-fun-5-minutes-oh-crap-it's-been-half-an-hour thing that flappy bird had"

"real 'play again' X-Factor!"

"looks deceptively simple but you will be replaying and replaying"

That looks awesome. I wait to finish work today to play it with the kids.
Added at https://amiga.gr/2020/09/1031/dodgy-rocks for the Greek community as well.

Great work John.

Nice game. Shame it won't run on an A500 with kickstart 1.3 though, at least it doesn't in WinUAE

It'll run fine on Kickstart 1.3, but it's very tight on RAM in a basic configuration and won't run if you only have 512K chip RAM and 512K fast RAM.

To run it on a 1MB chip 1.3 machine, you need to create a boot floppy (involves copying over a couple of libraries from Workbench 1.3) and disable any other floppy drives or peripherals. If you have more than 1MB of RAM, it should work with pretty much any config.

Ah yes I do only have 512 chip 512 fast so it can’t find the icon from WB.

Ah, that's actually not the lack of RAM, but it appears the wrong format was accidentally used for the disk image (FFS instead of OFS). Sorry about that! It'll read fine on Kickstart 2 - we'll sort that out now. In the meantime, if you can use Kickstart 2 to copy the files over to an OFS-formatted ADF, it'll read it fine.

The ADF on the itch.io page has been replaced with a OFS formatted disk that should work on KS 1.3

Please Daedalus, can you post a photo of your note book from Amiga Ireland event, where you wrote all those notes regarding the game? I remember it being pretty thick

Lemon Amiga entry here.
