TV Sports Football

Does anybody know how to play this? No need to tell me how, I just have a couple of questions. Thanks for any help!

I have played the game, but don't remember much about it. I am not much of an American football fan, even though I played some as a kid. I do have an original here and I can either scan the manual (48 pages) or answer any questions for you from it. Lemme know.
