Why won't Megalomania work properly?!?!?!?
OK, I'm having a breakdown now... I can't get this to run properly anymore. I used to be able to get it to work, I even got new copies of the disks.
I'm running it on 68000, 2MB Ram, 2.04 KS, only 1 FD active, running at 100% speed, on an OCS chipset. I'm sure these settings used to work... What's going on!!! |

Have you tried it with KS 1.3 and 512 KB chip and slow?
Edit : Works fine here with the trusty A500 most common quickstart. |

Cycle exact could help too.

Tried it with the 512k and KS1.3, Didn't even get to the intro sequence.
I used to play it on an A500+ with 2MB and 2 FDD's. So I can't see why it won't work.... I'll try Cycle exact, see if that helps.... Just rigged the PC up to the 44" TV..... I want to play!!! |

cycle exact is a good idea, as the copy protection is rather sensitive about timing afaik, and some of the cracks arent 100%
the other option of course is to use the far-more-reliable whdload version with an A1200 expanded seup |

The Fairlight crack works without cycle-exact set.

Cycle exact is maybe better for the original IPF image.

Yep, could be possible that the game wants strict 512KB Chip and 512 KB Slow, not 2MB chipmem.

Yep, 2MB chip seems to result in a guru.
