You only need the female adapter. It plugs into the back of the Amiga. The monitor cable plugs into the adapter. The monitor cable should come with the monitor (in most cases the cable even is fixed to the monitor and cannot be removed).

Be aware that, as the linked page describes, with such an adapter you can only display special screen modes. You need to set up such a screen mode before you change the monitor. You will not be able to display the early startup menu any more. You will not be able to display games started from floppy disk. You will not be able to display whdload games. You will not be able to display games or applications which do not allow to select a screen mode. And most important, if your harddisk crashes, you will not be able to boot Workbench from floppy disk unless you change the disk's preferences to a suitable screen mode.

The title says nothing. Without technical specs of the monitor I cannot tell much. But I don't thing that Xerox have ever made Amiga monitors. So this is probably a standard PC monitor and all of the restrictions I mentioned above apply.

Xerox don't make a monitor which works with the Amiga in standard PAL resolution. Non are capable of 15KHz Horizontal / 50Hz vertical.

You will be able to use it in 31KHz / 60Hz modes (i.e. doublescan) but only for Workbench. Not games.

You will need a scandoubler to be able to use a Xerox monitor. An Indivision AGA 1200 or DCE Flicker Magic etc.

CRT monitors with their vacuum tubes and high-voltage electron guns are beginning to look as primitive as the valves used in ENIAC.

No getting around the fact that for the same size screen CRT's look much much better for films / TV.
