It is reported to work and it is one of the best of the worse (if you understand what I mean).

It's official name is a Cypress CM-397

But it is still external, and it still doesnt faithfully represent AGA colours.

Might as well wait for Jens Schoenfelds new all singing all dancing A1200 internal scandoubler.

The Cypress CM-397 uses the terminology "CGA" all over the place but it 100% absolutely does not mean CGA. CGA is a digital RGB signal with only 1-bit per colour component. If it were CGA it would still work with the Amiga but it would only display 8 colours. But it's not.

I am 100% sure it is not CGA compatible. The tech spec backs this up.

Those are the wrong values for CGA which is TTL. It is regular Analog RGBS and RGBHV as found in TV systems.

It also says supports Y'CbCr which is almost certainly wrong again being it is a digital video system. It almost certainly means Y'PbPr which is Analog component video found in TV systems (mainly US).

€129.99 was the rumour. Roughly 1/3rd more than a CM-397 and double the price of Roy Justace's external scandoubler, but it will be so much better. A class of it's own.

But if you dont have an A1200 or dont want to wait, there is always Roy Justace's scandoubler for $65, the Cypress CM-397 or Cypress CM-345S
