Yes but osx is not my preference, if someday we can install os4.0 in ppc macs may be more usefull for me.
This is only my opinion. |

Post #47 already gives full info on how to make it work! Other than that you need a ppc mini, it will work if it reads PowerMac 10,2,4 4.9.4f1, date 07/12/05

My guess is a remaster of OS4 iso with these "new" files, boot the mac mini with the options mentioned, cross fingers and bang head 'cause the firmware from your ebay mac mini doesn't match the one required by this "hack". Nice try though.

This isn't fair!
I ordered a copy of OS4 only to discover there wasn't any hardware available on which to run it. I canceled the the order because of this, and now it it seems with AmigaMac's help it would have worked on my MacMini after all!!! Should I order another copy? I don't know now. I don't get this. All this 'it's real, it's not real. It works, it doesn't work' doesn't fill me with confidence! It makes me begin to think the whole Amiga thing is just smoke and mirrors! Surely Amiga.inc, Hyperion, etc have a coherent strategy for maintaining and developing the Amiga platform..? What next? Will all this turn out to be a hoax? |

Beat me to it Does Apple provides open firmware updates for g4 mac minis? Never heard of it (only for intel that I know of). The mentioning of ebay was just a joke, as it seems to be the only place to get them these days (g4).

@Toe Toe
welcome to the unmerry merry-go-round.... the only future for amiga, is the one YOU make... theres little point in investing in re-hased 10 year old technology. its best kept save your cash invest in a real investment... even belly-button lint would be more profitable. The Amiga is ONLY ALIVE in the souls that use it.... dont expect any company to lead the way... only to obfuscate and mislead... meh... i have wast too much time on this OS4 non-sense.. more beer methinks... |
