PCMCIA Compact Flash adapter -bootable?-

Hi,
an information please: using an "PCMCIA Compact Flash adapter" is not possibile to bootstrap AmigaOS from it because there is not a device inside the Kickstart 3.1 to boot from it, right ?.

no boot from pcmcia - 99,99% sure about that. this adapter by kipper2k is something you may consider.
you can close the case, but still can access the cf-card. just in case you had something in mind like that

With a trick (virtual mounting of an HDF + Bootdisk) you can "boot" an OS from PCMCIA. ppill made a great ClassicWB CF card version ages ago.

i guess i missed that topic, not a bad idea
while talking about kickstart modules, is there a bootable pcmcia
(not even sure what it's exact name) module for a custom rom?

Compactflash.device was made 'romable' back in 2009, so you can use it from a custom rom.
I think they were working on making it bootable as well, not sure if they succeeded.

IIRC you can boot from pcmcia ram cards, and this was used to allow booting from those 'Overdrive' pcmcia HDD's back in the day.
