It seems I do not have the proper rom as on WinUAE 4.0.1 64-Bit it only starts emulation with kick1.3 rom and above. Well not quite sure anyway, any suggestions? (An older version of WinUAE perhaps) |

There is a re-hacked version that works on 1.3 from years ago. It should be searchable in the forum...
EDIT: Found The game [Archon & One on One & Archon II (19xx)(PHR-Crew).zip] needs Kick 1.2 to run. Memory config/video mode makes no difference. The ADF may be patched to run on 1.3 by editing in hex editor. (if numbers don't match then game is not the same and won't work) Offset 6, change 3CB3 to 40FF Offset 14E,change 8DD0 to 8984 save ADF and re-write to floppy. Starts OK on real A500/1.3 1mb chip Only guarantee game to start, not to stay running. Repairs too extensive to consider Kick 2 |

I did succeed in running the game ! Many years have passed !! It is still as addictive as back in 1989 I got it with my Amiga 500 Many thanks again ! |

Sorry to say that I don't like at all the Amiga version of this so great game.
Best versions for me are the 8 bits ones for Atari and the Commodore 64. |

Best basketball game on the Amiga is TV Sports: Basketball IMHO
 ...spent loads of my youth playing this

Indeed TV Sport Basketball was the best !
Spent man-hours playing it ! There were some other good basketball games I also spent hours playing them: - Fast Break (Accolade) - Double Dribble (Konami) - Future Basketball (Hewson) I do not know why, but especially with Konami's Double Dribble despite its not so well presentation (graphics) I got addicted since I got the hand of it ! (and the cool dunk cut-scenes were awesome) |
