Increasing speed of my CF hard drive in Amiga OS 3.9?

Is there a way to increase my IDE CF HD by modifying a file system in the HD Toolbox? If yes, which one to use? Thanks.

Improved raw transfer speed: no, it is hardware limit.
Improved directory read/file creation/deletion/seeking etc.. file operation speed: replace FFS with PFS3 or SFS.

^^Any way of replacing it in the current 3.9 without re-formatting the drive? Where can I download the PFS3 and in what folder to put it?

P.S.
How can I check what file system my OS is currently using?

Thanks.

P.S.
Ok. I used the HDInstTool from the PFS3 package and updated my file system to pfs3 and it seems to be working (after reboot) ie. it now shows in the HDInstallTools the file system version 18.5.

Well you probably put the file system inside the RDB but the partitions need to be created with the File System selected so only way to use it is to re-partition and re-install

No need to re-install. Backup, change, reboot, format, restore. One partition at a time. Be sure to have a bootable medium with all required programs to restore the backup before you change the boot partition.

Size of CF? Just making sure there won't be any size limit issues that will cause future data corruption.
