AIAB (Amiga in a Box) project

I may be blind, but Amiga in a Box seems to be missing from the internet these days apart from people making requests and archives uploaded.

I think that's a huge shame - it has its part in emulation history and it would be nice to have it hosted with a proper page like AmigaSYS, AmiKit and ClassicWB.

It was a huge inspiration to me and helped enormously in getting my first pack out of the door - without James' install scripts I wouldn't have know where to start developing my own.

It's a unique pack, has its own feel and style and perhaps if we can get in contact with James, we can host it here on abime or some other member site?

AIAB was good and inspired me also...so I ripped the ShutDown-script from it to my own WB-setup back then

I LOVED AIAB.
It's the first "ready-to-use"Workbench setup I ever had, and probably the one I used the most.

I can host, if someone can get me all data. I did try piecing together.
Let me know.

I agree, AIAB was the first fully loaded WB setup I ever used in WinUAE.
I was actually looking for something the other week, but could'nt find anything on it.
Wayback machine gives you some data, but not all, .

That's the one Thomas.

Djay had the same link/idea above, but it didn't seem to work when I clicked on it (but it may have been my browsersettings).

I think there was another one when its last update was done as well - had a picture of the updated pack on its homepage.

I think the newer address was http://aiab.amiga.sk/

Thanks, FOL!

It will be marvellous if you can pull that off!

I have a good many of the old AIAB webpages archived going back as far as 2001 or so. If you are missing anything (screenshots, downloads, etc.), just put up a request. I have nearly all old versions and updates going back to v4. (Earlier versions were withdrawn due to .GIF content.)

It will be great to see them all available online again.

May take a bit, have to rewrite alot of the code as there are hardcoded links.

EDIT:- Getting there, .

Most of it is working now, just sorting downloads section.
I will also remove all ads as they are not needed now.
I will also leave Exile off. Will have to try and contact author, see if we can get permission to host it again.
