External diskdrive "DF1" as Internal!!

`Have anyone done this... turned the external connector around and use the "DF1" as internal in an amiga 1200Tower?
I wanna try ;-)

I did it on my A1200 when the internal drive died! Worked fine, still does! Don't have a tower though.

well, you can't really turn it around..

But you can however connect DS1 from the external drive port to the internal port's DS1 pin and then you could use two floppy drives on the same cable.

You will need a similar circuit that is inside the external drive inbetween the cable and the drive for trackdisk.device to be able to detect it.

Take a look on Aminet hard/hacks, there's some "add external drive" articles there, where you can take the rdy pulsing circuit.
