Thanks for the tip ChrisH. I´ve tried GCC but it´s too complicated and my time wasn´t too much
I wonder if StormC 4 worth to buy or has many bugs too.. |

I've been playing with Hisoft C++
It's got an integrated editor and compiler. The editor is colour coded and helps you to understand your code. All with help built in. I believe it supports all versions of WB from 1.3 to 3.1 Dave G |

aztec c?
This is a little off-topic, but I got a copy of Manx Aztec C with an A2000 I bought a few weeks ago, and haven't had any time to look at it, but thought I'd ask if anyone had an opinion on it...
I usually use gcc and have probably not used any other C compiler in the last 7 years or so, but now I'm studying programming languages and compiler design in grad school and wondering if it might not be worth the effort to disassemble some of these older compilers to learn how they were designed. gcc's design isn't exactly transparent... |

I'm not sure if it's free or not or even if it's still copyrighted but I do know that it's available on a certain unmentionable download site.
If anybody could clarify the position and as long as it's legal to - I could dump it on Magix. Dave G |

I imagine that GCC is easy to use once it is set-up. In fact there are versions of AROS which come with GCC built-in, so it's just a case of typing "gcc source.c -o myexecutable" (or something to that effect, I haven't done it in quite some time). |
