Kick Off 2 Remake: Throw In, Retro Footballgame (Free download)
Hi
A new remake of the classic Amiga football game Kick Off 2 is under development. The name of the game is Throw In and a couple of days ago a new betaversion was released and it is available for download (for free). The gameplay is very similar to the gameplay in Kick Off 2 but also have similarities with Sensible World Of Soccer. Share your thoughts here or on the forum I link to. Note! Impressive. Very impressive and more like a real old school footy sim. How many GBs are FIFA and PES? And yes, I find this more playable than both these.

I gotta say, that looks like how Sensible Soccer 2006 SHOULD'VE looked like. 'Cause it looks more like Sensi than Kick Off.
I'll be looking into this. EDIT: ...and now I have. It's a great game, it doesn't feel exactly like the original, but that's not necessary anyway. I also think this game could do well with either 360 degree control, or the 180 degree turn feature from Goal!. Regardless, I hope you plan on making in playable on a gamepad, 'cause if you don't, I won't be playing it again anytime soon. Unless joy2key works. Last edited by StarEye; 08 May 2007 at 10:44. |

Guys, you can select 'Joystick' as control method in the screen where you select the starting lineup of your team.
