Screen colours

I have two questions about how colours work on screens:

1. Can block and detail pens be anything either than 0 and 1?
2. Can you change which colour registers they are while the screen is running?

Sure. See for example "struct NewScreen".

Not for windows or screen elements that are already on screen. But every window has its own detail and block pen, thus you can change it for windows you open (or, re-open).

Damn. Is there a way I can very quickly re-open screen's? I don't need to be doing it any frame of anything like that, but it shouldn't take more than 10-20 frames on an ECS system.

Setting the colours before opening doesn't work for me, I've made a high level colour management thing meant to make it act like bitmap colours, and the colour handle needs to open after the screen (because it sets the screens register colour, and I don't know how I'd get it to do that after opening the screen).
