Mhm.., and slot A, B, what are they for? They do not work together, consuming config space, etc
sth? What is that? With the Cortex firmware you can create empty images with WinUAE and put on the USB stick for saving games. And it works fine. Only game you cannot make a working save ADF for so far that I've found is Cannon Fodder 1. It needs extended ADF. You could just use a regular external disk drive to save for that particular game.

With the HXC firmware you can use extended ADFs.

Floppy disk

Dears,
Here you got, something I needed and got none - so I made myself

HxC CFG file reORGANIZER - MS Office 2007+ required:
http://www74.zippyshare.com/v/ez844l8C/file.html
I know, it is slow - I will work upon it.

Dear Jeff,
Thanks for firmware update - I'll check it.
As for my VBA tool, you could do better in your windows tool... looking forward for it

Edit:
Updated reORGANIZER v.0.2alpha
http://www83.zippyshare.com/v/SQkBw5YY/file.html

-faster moving of selected slots
-slot numbering from 001.
-copy list to clipboard (then you can print the list in your text editor)

You can choose to ignore the warning and download the file, I just did that and everything seems OK apart from opening an advertisement page.

What is the best way to contact Jeff regarding buying Gotek/HxC firmware?
I sent an email to his hxc2001@ address this morning, but no response yet.

Just about to mod an Amstrad 6128 with an internal Gotek/HxC instead of the 3" drive

Im sure he will reply when he gets time. Give him day or so. You do realise people have a life outside of hobbies with old computers right?

Yes I do (sorry Jeff).
Not sure I quite deserved that last comment.

I was thinking that HxC was his main business and not a hobby. My mistake. I can wait no problem. Just making sure I was using the best & most relevant means of contacting him.

It probably come across more harsh than I intended. My brevity was due to my 3 year old using me as a human jumping castle at the time. I was being serious however as far as I'm aware the only one dedicated to retro products is Jens. A lot of people don't realise that they only get to attend to their hobby when time permits so responses can be slow. We have all been impatient before. I nagged poor kipper to death for my a500 expansion.

I think that even Jens cannot make a decent living off making retro products - if he didn't like it as a hobby, he probably wouldn't do it. It may provide a bit of money, but it is just a side-business to his other projects.

New update of the Amiga files selector for the SD HxC and HxC-Gotek Floppy Emulators available.
This is a major rework of the interface. I hope that you will like it.

I just tested this new file selector, it is better than I do everything with the joystick, but I noticed slower.

it allows people to reorganise slots by multiple or single selection - moving up or down and allows delete/clear slots.
it has function to copy to clipboard slot list - then you could print it out on your printer - I recommend 2pages/sheet settings in your printer.
You should do similar function module for CFG in your hxc tools - HxCFloppyEmulator.exe

I have to check if asigning of files to slots is possible in VBA, otherwise FAT table export to file by 3rd party tool - then read it in VBA... anyone know such tool for windows?(to grab SD FAT table to file)

Hooked it all up temporarily today, the i2c display I ordered, and all I get is the light on the display comes on, but even with the 4.7K pullup resistors to SDL and SDA connected to 5V line, I dont get anything displayed on the LCD itself. Any suggestions what might be wrong? I linked some pictures below.

thank you, that was it. Have it hooked up to a RPI2 now to test it, and there it works. Now I need to test it in the gotek

Feeling rather stupid because I did not even consider the contrast setting LOL. Thank you idrougge.

Update: Hooked it back up in my temporary circuit for the gotek, and it works straight up. Now I just need to decide how to make nicer permanent solution and how to mount that display in my A1200, since my Gotek has replaced the internal floppy drive.
