i kept saying kickstard 3.1 i mean 1.3.

if I ever get Tude to work, I imagine it will reset into the classic A500 disk in hand logo, the blue/white one.

Also, I think what I'm doing might be illegal so I beter be carefull. I would of course purchase the kickstart files if I knew where to buy them

No, you can't pack it in now! I'm sure you can solve it in your usual style. Just watch out for the sparks!

BTW, have you got a Kickstart 1.3 ROM image? You'll never get the degrader (or WHDLoad) working without one, you know.

Like prowler said, put the renamed KS 1.3, the PAT and the RTB file in Devs:Kickstarts. If you can grab this KS 'Kickstart v1.3 r34.5 (1987)(Commodore)(A500-A1000-A2000-CDTV)[!]' (and no we aren't allowed to tell you where you might find it ) and rename it to 'kick34005.A500'.

hehe okay thanks for that. well I now have said file. but I've been having non-stop problems.

in my DEVS/kickstart folder a while ago I had 3 files, the file you mentioned above renamed to kick34005.a500. the PAT and RTB files from s-kick. All i ever got from Tude was a reset, but then it would either be:
black screen
black screen where my flatscreen senses no signal
guru type message saying software failure
purple'y blue screen
a weird blue/white mishmash of colour strobing on and off at the bottom half of the screen and slowly moving towards the bottom.

I then bought Amiga forever because I read you can legaly get the rom's in there. I couldn't find the roms but I found more RTB files, so I replaced the one I had got from s-kick. but still no joy. I even deleted the PAT file because another forum says you don't need it.
I'm wondering if the reason this is screwing up is to do with the fact I never had a Kickstart folder in DEVS to begin with ???

I have Tude in the systems folder.

The kickstart folder in DEVS isn't there by default, so it's perfectly okay that you created it. I'm not familiar with TUDE (only an A500, otherwise WinUAE ), but if you have some fast RAM you should really try WHDLoad. A lot less hassle
