Ok, here is the results of the tests with my Amilator config :
a) I have launched the IT version on the same config as the FR one : 2MB Chip, 0MB other mem* - The IT version crash as reported on post #38 (both FR version does not crash (meynaf & Angel)) - Tested 3 times, 3 crashes b) reduced the config to : 1MB Chip, 0MB other mem - The IT version is OK, no Crash & no gfx issue (as the FR one) - Tested 3 times, 3 times OK - created a save-game for the IT version c) changed memory to : 2MB Chip, 0MB other mem - Loaded the IT save-game -> No crash !!? - Tested 3 times, 3 times OK (3 times I reseted the Amiga, not only quitting the game with Alt+X) - Tested again without loading the save-game -> Crash !?? So seems there is something happening here. Maybe with the crack ??? Let you see if you want to investigate guys PS: On his Compilation, DamienD use also 2MB Chip. I did not test it but I am sure he did, so should be working. *It's not my usual config, just the actual one. Last edited by malko; 25 March 2018 at 20:05. |

Usually I would just use ECS / 512KB Chip & 512KB Slow RAM. This was one of the first games I added back in 2005; I think due to wanting all disks in drives for other LucasFilm / LucasArt games, I set 2MB Chip RAM and then just used this config for all LucasFilm / LucasArt games. |

I do not remember exactly where I retrieved the information to make a safe crack for Loom.
I think I took them here... http://hardwarefetish.com/376-crack-fur-loom-deutsch |

Try this :
- restore original 69.LFL (and be sure nothing else is modified) - use hex editor and search for the following hex data in that file : 77 FC BF FF BF FA FF E5 - there are 4 occurences, just replace the 1st FF by FC (BF FF BF -> BF FC BF) for all of them It may be that the crack puts the script in some random situation. Anyway, by applying the above we can be sure it's not the crack at fault. |

I have played many times to translate the videogame ... I used the configuration in WinUAE cloned from my real Amiga 1200 with 2 MB of CHIP RAM and 128 MB of Fast RAM ...
I also performed the WHDLoad test and everything has always worked well. If the problem is insufficient memory, I do not think it is due to the crack. |
