Maybe you could contact this guy and see if he's still looking for a coder for his fighting game: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=53905

Excellent site, thanks for the link. I won't be using the ripped GFX (though I thought the Sonic rips were cool), but I did have a look at some of the custom stuff

On a related note, can anyone recommend any good IFF -> sprite (or BMP -> sprite) programs?

I just use Dpaint to create animbrushes, but that'd only work if your language can load those. (Blitz 2.1 can, so I didn't look further than that.) If anyone knows of a better way/ program I'd like to hear it too.

@ Lonewolf10 - normally for IFF to RAW conversions I use Kefrens IFF Converter. However, in my experience, conversion to sprite data doesn't work (unless I did something stupid of course... )

I did once use ArtPro (available on Aminet) to convert graphics data to sprites which worked just fine so you could try that one...?

Only thing I don't like about ArtPro is that it's "bulky" - it requires 68020 or better, needs to be installed to harddrive and needs some libraries to work.

Talking of which - if anyone knows of a nice low footprint old skool "single file" type graphics converter (like Kefrens IFF Converter) that works for converting graphics to sprite data I'd like to know about it.

Either that or just tell me that Kefrens works OK for converting sprites and I did do something stupid when I couldn't get it to work!

IFFCutter (on Aminet) will convert to normal/interleaved bitplanes & sprites without any hassles. It's a tiny prog, a couple of boxes to click on then load/save and you're ready to go... it's so simple even I can use it, so I'm sure others will manage
