Old coverdisk game

I used to really enjoy this game I got off a magazine. Hard to describe though. Imagine the old Tennis pong games with the marker, but horizonatly and you had to bounce the ball off the marker and hit some bricks. You clear the level by getting rid of the bricks.

Any idea please?

I think you mean a 'bat and ball' game. Maybe it was a demo of a full game, so have a look at the bat and balls games in HOL : http://hol.abime.net/hol_search.php?&N_ref_category=5

There are quite some nice ones in that category Do you remember which magazine (or magazines) the coverdisk was from?

Try this webpage for a good listing of most Amiga magazines, and their cover discs;

There's a (very) good chance it was Poing, which is actually not in the HOL, apparently. Poing was horizontal, and definitely after '92.

I think I had this game but I can't find it. A lot of the levels had interesting patterns and levels that you had to get the ball down a small path to hit most of the blocks. I half remember having a choice of levels too.

I believe you are right!
Poing 5, 6, 700 written by Paul van der Valk are available on Aminet.
I downloaded and played them in the past, but I'm enough sure I found a previous version on a coverdisk.

Try this...

http://amr.abime.net/amr_search.php?...=0&action=Find

About the above results, the magazine I surely bought was Amiga Format 95 having Poing 4 in its coverdisk. Probably I had at least one previous poing version coming from an italian magazine not listed here (I don't remember which).
