Don't forget that we need 2 versions of each animated sprite, 1 normal & 1 frozen (if we don't have such bluish colors in the palette we could use grayscale and pretend the frozen weapon turn them to stone). I may have a first preview soon.

I prefer the more contrasting first one.The 2nd one may be more obviously striking say because it looks pretty but the scanned look is more fitting, especially as Metroid is more about being alone- and pretty colours all over isn't in keeping with that.As it is i think the shared colours scheme for both this and door make it look out of place

My two thumbs up for the graphics. I can try to make a mod remake, but need my Amiga upgrades first to arrive. Is this project still alive?

Looks like a doable project, good luck both, and above all have fun I think the "oomph" of the project will be in the mapeditor -> working maps with placed enemies, the rest could maybe have a few tricks to get right, but mapping and playtesting is where the hours will be I think. Metroid is pretty big... |

The guy who eagerly wanted to do it in the first place didn't show up around here since ages, i sent him a message 5 months ago which he didn't read yet, so i guess this isn't an active project, beside there was someone willing to do the music already.
