Robocop - Amstrad movie classic remade for the PC!

That's right retro heads this is Robocop originally published by Ocean in the 80's, that's now available as a PC remake. But not just any remake but the Amstrad version in HD, with smooth 60fps scrolling and added 2 player co-op mode, developed by Park Productions!

Searching through the Russian ZX Spectrum forums we've just come across a first person shooter that looks to be a mash up of the DOS based game of BlakeStone but in a turn based grid movement style to that of a dungeon crawler. Titled ' SpaceMerc Liberation ' and set for release 1st September

When I was growing up I really loved playing the 1981 Arcade game of Frogger by Konami. It had loads of charm, great gameplay for kids and it really made you feel for the safety of those little green frogs as they hopped their way across a busy road, then across a river of logs and Crocodiles to get to the other side. So when Gabriele Amore announced on the World of Spectrum forums about 'Hop 'N Frog' which is heavily inspired by Frogger, but for the ZX Spectrum, I just had have a go!

We have been following this for many months now and thus today we are pleased to announce the release of the incredible looking C64 adventure 'Caren and the Tangled Tentacles ' compo version 1.0. First appearing as snippets of trailers and then the playable preview at gamescom developed by a team of people such as Martin Wendt, Oliver Lindau and Kamil Wolnikowski has now appeared on CSDb just in time for the German Forum64 competition.

Doom for the AmigaOS 4? Welcome to Chocolate-Doom!

We've just been informed by Tom of the Amiga retro gaming community of the release of 'Chocolate Doom' for the AmigaOS 4. Doom was originally developed by id Software way back in 1993 as a first person shooter playing as a space marine fighting hordes of demons and the undead in order to survive.

Awakening - A fantastic C64 adventure release

Another Forum64 Game Competition 2015 game release through CSDb and my personal favourite, is Endurion, Spider Jerusalem and The USER's C64 adventure of 'Awakening'. Developed by a team of people, Awakening is a high grade homebrew that has a great story, interesting puzzles, characters, text based commands and big bouncing C64 boobies!

As to my utter amazement we've just learnt of the release of a fantastic C64 platformer game originally by Hi-Tec in 1992 that never saw the light of day, until now! After 18 years worth of searching by Games That Weren't, they are proud to announce the fully recovered 'Daffy Duck - And The Great Paint Caper

Just seen this, great news. First comments suggest that it's as good as the Zzap review suggested. Not sure I should check it out by downloading VICE - I waste enough time on emulated Amiga games as it is without going back into a machine I didn't own in the day.

I'll be playing it on a real C64 this weekend, gave it a good test on Vice earlier, hence our write up.

Now it's just got even better as F.L has now announced the release of the 1987 ZX Spectrum head chopping classic 'Barbarian' for the Sega Megadrive! The same developer behind the open source clones of the Amstrad CPC, C64, ZX Spectrum, Atari ST and many others, has now released this version as a rom file which works on a real sega genesis/megadrive, everdrive, and emulators!
