Raspberry Pi Gamehat and emulation advice vs Pandora/Pyra

Hi All,
newb alert
just dug out my old Pandora (original model) and was thinking of getting the new Pyra.
But then realised there may be a much cheaper (and easier?) way of doing things if I get a Rasberry 3 and a gamehat.
Just wondering what peoples experience of the Pi is with emulation - I would mainly be looking to do Amiga/Atari ST/ C64/Spectrum emulation with maybe the od dosbox game.
sifting through the interwebs but just wondering if anybody has a favorite place to recommend?
Cheers for your time,
Steve

I never tried GameHat, as I can't be bothered with small screens, but I watched few videos ETA Prime did on youtube. Probably good start to see how it works and how to set it up:

Raspberry Pi can show video only on one screen as far as I know.

My other issues is controllers. I rather have good controller when I play games, and not all are durable .

As for emulation, I love emulation on RPi. From RetroPie to amiberry.

Some other devices I tested - NVidia Shield - but that is bit more expensive.

I’m searching but can find no hrz data. It’s 60fps apparently but I know that makes no odds

Just post question on ETA prime's video. He usually answers most technical questions.
