I'm not impressed with the layout of this game, there really is NO need for it to be on two disks.
Disk 1 contains program code, and the gay Psygnosis Anim logo and the Ork Logo.... thats it. The rest of the game is on Disk 2. Change that Psygnosis anim to a single frame logo, and chances are the whole game with a bit of effort might compress to one disk. But the filesystem for both disks has been ripped to files. Bolch: How quickly can you play this game through to the end? |

Right, just checked out the Skid Row version, and I think I know what the problem is. I think it is 100% cracked, but because the cracker is an idiot, he assumes anyone should know how he's programmed the crack!
When the screen first flashes, insert disk 1 and then press fire button When the screen flashes again, reinsert disk 2 and then press fire button theres nothing in the intro or on the disk to tell you what to do, but looking at the code, its obvious. Give it a try and tell me if it works, saves me having to redo it if thats all thats stopping you from progressing. |

I'm also going to stick my neck out here and say that I think the Skid Row version is 100%, and that the trainer versions (Scoopex and Supplex) level skipper is the problem.
If someone can prove that by playing the game without a trainer results in the same problem, then I'll relook at it, but I find it hard to believe that the cracker went to all the trouble of retaining the end game sequence and putting code in there specifically for loading it off Disk 1, and then not allowing it to work. |

Well, having a proper crack since now we have IPF files sound like a normal thing to me.
Ork doesn't work, i have tried to complete it too, and the end never worked. |

I tried it with the trained version though, to test it properly the non trained version needs playing from beginning to end.

I recently tried the non-trained Skid Row version. I had a saved game (not save state) from the last level, so I loaded it in the non-trained version and made it to the end, with the same results. If necessary, I could take a full go from the very beginning of the game with the non-trained version.
I also uploaded a savestate to the Zone from the very end of the game; you have to walk a few paces to the right to complete the game from there. What I don't know is that the crash at the end is a problem related to the Skid Row crack, or it could be an emulation problem. As I see it, it can be found out by either completing the original version of the game in WinUAE (does anyone have the codebook? ) or completing the Skid Row version on a real Amiga. |

I'm quite happy to be proved wrong, and if I am wrong, I'll redo Ork, but I'm 99.99% convinced its the trainers that are the problem, I'm sure if its played on a non trained version with no cheating, the Skid Row crack will work.
Its not the first time The Black Cat has screwed up a crack with one of his shitty trainers. Woodys World crashes later because of his crap 'code'. |

Galahad, you're right!
I've completed the game again using the untrained Skid Row crack and now it shows the end-sequence! If anyone interested, I could upload a savestate of the ending (nothing really remarkable, but at least there is one!). |
