Older scientist type guy & tank game

I'm looking for a game which I only remember the start of, i'm hoping someone here can give me the games name. It was an adventure game and you were this older scientist type guy wearing a coat and you started in front of a spaceship. Also the answer to the first puzzle is his date of birth.

And another game i'm after is where you are these little grey triangle type shapes (tanks I assume) and you had to go round and pick up little yellow flags before your opponent does, you could also blow him up.

I loved lethal formula, it was/is a hidden gem. Could never get past the 1st room in the ship until recently though.

Yeah it is a good game. Took me ages to figure out his dob the first time I played it. Then sadly the disk stopped working. Its sad that no one has thought to re-release all these classics on morden platforms like Xbox Arcade.
