That's an awesome anniversary, they've done so much improvements in the last 10 years. I can remember the first time i've tested it, back in 1999. Today it's much better. A big cheers!! to the whole Mame team.

MAME is pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good.
As long as I can still play R-Type in MAME in another 10 years, they've done a grand job (By then I'll need a 30,000Mhz machine though) |

I still find it amazing that you can play just about any arcade game - certainly 99% of the ones from our childhood. If someone had told me this years ago when i was stuffing all my 10p's into Super Sprint and Double Dragon etc , i would have laughed.Mame is certainly very cool so a big thumbs up to everyone involved.

Better late than never...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to MAME and the entire team behind it. All the developers should shake hands for a brief moment and make it compulsary to have MAME ported to all current gaming devices out there so everyone young and old can see where it all started and take a trip back in time/down memory lane and see that not all fantasticly addictive games require huge 3D graphics, insane amounts of memory and storage and a water cooled processor. I doubt it would ever happen but XBOX360 and PS3 would be soooooo much better if they had MAME available with online updates for those of us stuck in the 80's and 90's |
