FM Towns UNZ emulator setup

Hello!

Could anyone help me with the set up of UNZ emulator, please?
I'm trying to insert a game to play, mounted on a virtual drive with DemonTools but it doesn't respond.

I guess it has to do with the initial settings... I don't know,

...been many, many years since I last used UNZ.

Will take a look once home tonight and get back to you.

What CD-ROM games have you tested?

I assumed you tried one of many youtube tutorials?

Some run FM Town games with MESS (now MAME) in order to use LaunchBox to sort and order games. (I highly recommend this front end for all emulators )

After a few experiments I finally managed to get this to work.

@Anubis Yes, but somehow something was going wrong.
It seems that every time you exit from the game (and the emulator), the next time you run UNZ you have to reset the system or else the game won't load.
I managed to load and test Indy3, Zac McKracken and Bubble Bobble and everything is perfect. Thank you!

@DamienD Thanks for your reply!

For Lucas Arts games don't use UNZ, use ScummVM with FMTown files. Far easier to setup and use, with full save support.

This is what I used @ home for FMTown (and all other emulation):

Some game also needs special boot disks in the disk drive. Can be very confusing, but most of the games works ok-ish in Unz.

You should take a look there, the Marty system is fully supported and plug'n play.

this reminds me i have a extra FM-TOWN UX to sell as i have a UR and Marty
so wish we had got those instead of those shitty MACs in school
anyways if looking for them japan yahoo sells tons of FM-TOWNS where i got mine
and FYI you you grab a computer with monitor they do 15/24/31KHz modes well about 90% do all 3
and the UR/UX models with built in 9" trinitron also has a RGB input for external
sharp x68000 monitors also do many modes
not trying to derail the emulation topic of this thread just saying you can get them cheap and they have other pluses

I just uploaded a second teaser to illustrate how RunIt runs a Fujitsu Marty game.

The Unz emulator doesn't natively switch in fullscreen mode at startup, I created a tool to workaround this issue.

The RunIt goal is to run everything in no time and in the best output quality your system can handle.

Obviously, the Amiga main models will be fully supported soon in an inedite plug'n play way. At the moment the CDTV and CD32 already are.
