Confused ???????

Ok I hear all this chatter about IRC and Emuchina and TOSEC.

so I have 3 questions

1. Is IRC MIRC ??
2. What is Emuchina ??
3. What is TOSEC

Sorry for sounding a bit stupid but I really don't have a clue, so I would appreciate any help on these questions, Thanks all in advance and I hope I have posted this in the right place LOL

1. Is IRC MIRC ??
IRC: internet relay chat, it's a protocol for real time chat on the net.
Mirc: one popular IRC interface for windows os. http://www.mirc.com/

2. What is Emuchina ??
One big website of emulation, located in china, far away from us rules. http://www.emuchina.net/
you can download *a lot* of rom from there, but their http server is overbusy most of the time. I suggest you to use the IRC in order to get files from their channel: #emuchina (under the newnet network)

3. What is TOSEC
Tosec is a project which make list of *all* roms available on the net, renaming them with the 'tosec standart name' using little utilities. http://tosec.retrogames.com/

IRC is short for Internet Relay Chat. To access it you'd need a client to use it. mIRC could be an oppertunity. I use vIRC.

Emuchina is apparently another emulation site but very large. www.emuchina.net has a lot for download, but have an IRC channel as well it seems.

TOSEC...well I can't quite remember, but I know my Amiga has problems with the way too long filenames when extracting zip files in the format there. http://tosec.retrogames.com should give you some insight.

I know trillian featured IRC support but I never thought you could successfully integrate that many things together in one client and still have it usable. Am I wrong?

I use trillian for icq and irc together. It's better than the original icq client and I like it more than mirc. It's that good really.
