Stuck on Gods Level 2

I am stuck on Gods Level 2. The switch appears to do nothing and I can't get the lift / trapdoor to open at all. What am I doing wrong?

Try walking over it? It will open as you get on top of it if I remember right. Otherwise you need to go flick a switch somewhere else and then walk over it. The level is not exactly huge.

theres a switch on the far left side, you have to go on a platform if I remember correctly, but its on the far left side.

Then go back to where you are and flick the switch above the trapdoor and it'll open.

There's a key over to the left hand side I think. You need to pick that up first and then flick the switch.
